Donation & Refund Policy

This policy explains what happens when you donate, how funds are used, and how refunds are handled.

Last updated: July 2026

1. Donations are voluntary gifts

Every donation is a voluntary charitable gift. You receive no goods, services, or personal benefit in return, and a donation does not create any contract for the supply of goods or services.

2. Who processes your donation

Donations are collected and processed by Volunteers for Ukraine, a charitable organisation, through the secure payment provider Stripe, Inc.. This website does not handle payments and does not store your card details. Your payment is subject to the terms and privacy policy of Volunteers for Ukraine and Stripe, Inc. shown on their checkout page.

3. How funds are used

Funds raised support the operational needs of 8th Artillery Brigade "Harmash" — for example, detection and reconnaissance equipment, communications and coordination tools, and the resources that enable precise, effective fire support. Amounts shown on donation buttons are suggested tiers; you may give any amount the payment page allows.

4. Currency and fees

Donations are processed in the currency offered at checkout. If you donate in a different currency from your card, your bank or card provider may apply conversion or transaction fees over which we have no control.

5. Refunds

Because donations are gifts, they are generally non-refundable. However, we understand mistakes happen. A refund may be issued if:

  • you were charged in error or charged more than once;
  • the amount charged differs from the amount you intended; or
  • the payment was unauthorised or fraudulent.

To request a refund, contact us as soon as possible — and in any event within 14 days of the transaction — at [email protected], including the date, amount, and a payment reference. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method by Volunteers for Ukraine.

6. Recurring donations

If a recurring (repeating) donation option is offered at checkout, you may cancel future payments at any time by following the instructions in your confirmation email or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not automatically refund past donations.

7. Tax receipts

Whether a donation is tax-deductible depends on your country and on the status of Volunteers for Ukraine. Any receipt or confirmation is issued by Volunteers for Ukraine. Please consult your own tax adviser regarding deductibility.

8. Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a donation, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may delay the return of your funds while the payment provider investigates.

9. Contact and related policies

For any donation question, email [email protected]. See also our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
